What the animation looks like
Every design on SoundViz already moves in the editor: press play and the waveform lights up bar by bar in time with the sound. The video clip captures that same sweep, from the first bar to the last.
It works with a linear waveform or a circular one, and it uses the same shape as your design, so a square design gives a square clip.
What you get
A 5-second clip, whatever the length of your track: a short song and a long one both fill the five seconds. It is saved as a WebM video at 12 frames per second.
The clip has no sound. It is the picture only, so add your song (or any music) over it in your video app.
If an app will not accept WebM, convert the file to MP4 with any free converter and upload that.
How to make an animated waveform
1. Design your waveform. Upload or record a sound, pick Linear or Radial, choose your colors and add text.
2. Sign in. The video clip needs a free account (Google or email).
3. Export. Open the Export menu and choose Download video clip. It takes a few seconds to render and downloads straight away.

What you need
A free account, and a browser that can record video from a web page. Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome and Edge can. If yours cannot, the export menu shows a notice instead of failing silently.

Which social apps can I use the clip in?
The clip is a standard WebM file you can drop into a video editor or a posting app. Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts accept different formats, so if an app rejects WebM, convert it to MP4 first.
Why do I not see the video option?
You need to be signed in, and your browser has to be able to record video from a page. If it cannot, SoundViz shows a notice in the export menu.
