New: Click Anywhere on Your Waveform to Hear That Exact Moment
Every waveform on SoundViz is a shape with a story in it. That tall peak in the middle? That's the moment the chorus hits, or the second your baby's heartbeat sped up, or the exact syllable where your voice cracked saying "I do."
Until now, hearing that specific moment meant dragging a tiny native scrub bar and guessing. Not anymore.
Click the Wave, Hear the Wave
In the editor, you can now click or drag anywhere on your waveform — linear or radial — and playback jumps straight there. See a bar you love? Touch it and hear exactly what made it that shape.
As your audio plays, the waveform itself shows you where you are: everything already played stays bright, everything still ahead dims slightly. It's the same sweep you've always seen in the editor — now you can grab it and move it yourself, forward or back, as many times as you want.
It works the same way whether you're designing a linear waveform or a radial one — on a circular design, just click the slice you want to jump to.
Why We Built This
SoundViz only works because the shape and the sound are the same thing. A generic progress bar treats your waveform like decoration. We wanted it to work like an instrument — something you can point at and press, the way you'd point at a photo and say "tell me about this one."
It's a small interaction, but it's the moment a lot of people finally feel it: this isn't just art, it's their sound, and they're the one driving it.
